In a groundbreaking collaboration that bridges generational gaps, YouTube megastar MrBeast and the historic Rockefeller Foundation are joining forces to spark youth engagement in global philanthropy. Jimmy Donaldson, known professionally as MrBeast, is partnering with the 112-year-old foundation to inspire a new generation of changemakers.

The strategic partnership aims to leverage Donaldson’s massive online influence and the foundation’s deep expertise in tackling global challenges. Dr. Rajiv Shah, president of the Rockefeller Foundation, acknowledges that traditional philanthropy has struggled to connect with younger audiences, a gap MrBeast could potentially fill.

Through this collaboration, the duo plans to address critical global issues, starting with combating child labor in the cocoa industry. Donaldson’s snack company, Feastables, will work towards proving that profitable chocolate production can exist without exploiting child labor, providing farmers with living wages and creating stable economic conditions.

The partnership represents more than just a publicity stunt. Both organizations share a data-driven approach to creating meaningful change. MrBeast’s meticulous content strategy, which focuses on engagement and viewership, aligns surprisingly well with the Rockefeller Foundation’s results-oriented methodology.

For Donaldson, the collaboration is an opportunity to learn from seasoned philanthropic experts. “I want to use my influence to inspire youth to do good, volunteer, and care about these projects,” he explained. The Rockefeller Foundation brings decades of experience in addressing global challenges like hunger, poverty, and systemic inequality.

As Gen Z continues to seek authentic ways to create social impact, this partnership signals a promising evolution in philanthropy. By combining viral internet culture with strategic, long-term humanitarian efforts, MrBeast and the Rockefeller Foundation are demonstrating that meaningful change can be both engaging and effective.

The first joint initiative will involve a research trip to Ghana early next year, where they’ll explore community-led development and global storytelling strategies. This collaborative approach could set a new standard for how nonprofits and content creators work together to address complex global challenges.
