Honestly, we’ve been sleeping on comedy movies for way too long. But World of Wonder, the production company that basically owns our screens with RuPaul’s Drag Race, is about to wake us up with a hilarious disaster-movie parody that’s giving us all the camp, chaos, and comedy we didn’t know we needed.

Stop! That! Train! is the kind of broad comedy that feels like it walked straight out of the 1970s, styled like the cult classic Airplane! But instead of just being a funny movie, it’s basically a who’s-who of queer and camp culture packed into one ridiculously entertaining package. We’re talking RuPaul herself playing President Gagwell, plus beloved names like Matt Rogers, Drew Droege, Rachel Bloom, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and Michelle Visage. Yeah, it’s basically the ensemble cast dreams are made of.

Directed by Adam Shankman, who brought us the Hairspray! musical movie, this flick takes us on a wild ride. The plot? Two train stewardess best friends score a gig on the Glamazonian Express, a luxurious railway that’s about to become anything but routine. When a massive storm hits, these BFFs have to team up with the snooty first-class crew and President Gagwell to prevent total disaster in LA. It’s absurd, it’s over-the-top, and it sounds absolutely perfect.

Let’s be real, the queer community has been carrying entertainment for decades, and it’s refreshing to see a major production company like World of Wonder betting big on a comedy that celebrates that culture. This isn’t some indie passion project either. This is a summer blockbuster with genuine star power and a premise that’s built for laughs.

The trailer alone is worth your time, and from what we’ve seen, the chemistry between cast members is off the charts. Whether you’re a longtime Drag Race fan, a comedy enthusiast, or just someone who appreciates good camp entertainment, Stop! That! Train! looks like it’s going to be the movie that brings people back to theaters.

Mark your calendars because this disaster-spoof is hitting theaters on June 12, 2026. Trust us, you’re going to want to experience this one on the big screen with a packed crowd of people who get the jokes. Get ready for a summer movie that actually deserves the hype.
