Get ready, music enthusiasts! The Bay Area’s most eclectic music festival is back, promising an electrifying lineup that spans genres and generations. Noise Pop 2026 is set to transform San Francisco’s music scene from February 19 to March 1, offering an incredible mix of local talent and national acts that will have you dancing, vibing, and discovering new sounds.
Local electronic music maestro Giraffage (Charlie Yin) will headline a must-see show with Brooklyn-based Chrome Sparks at Public Works. The South Bay native, who graduated from UC Berkeley, continues to push the boundaries of electronic music and represents the innovative spirit of our local music scene.
For indie rock fans, the festival offers some serious nostalgia. Stephen Malkmus will perform a solo set at the Great American Music Hall, while the Fiery Furnaces will revisit their acclaimed 2004 album “Blueberry Boat” at The Chapel. Oakland’s own Maryam Qudus will open for the Fiery Furnaces, showcasing the rich musical talent brewing in the Bay Area.
Jazz enthusiasts have something extraordinary to look forward to with the legendary Sun Ra Arkestra. Nominated for a 2026 Grammy, this groundbreaking ensemble continues to push musical boundaries decades after its founding. Their performances at The Chapel promise to be a transcendent experience.
Rounding out the festival, Oakland’s Rogue Wave will deliver a unique double feature at the Swedish American Music Hall, performing their debut album “Out of the Shadow” and “Descended Like Vultures” in two separate shows.
Noise Pop 2026 isn’t just a music festival – it’s a celebration of the Bay Area’s diverse and innovative musical landscape. Whether you’re a die-hard fan or just looking to discover something new, this year’s lineup promises something for everyone.
