If you’ve been sleeping on My Morning Jacket, this is your sign to wake up. The legendary rock band just announced something absolutely wild: they’re doing a seven-night residency at the Fillmore San Francisco, and honestly, it’s the kind of event that makes you grateful to live in the Bay.

Let’s be real, the Fillmore is basically sacred ground in music history. This is the venue where generations of artists have created magic, and My Morning Jacket clearly gets it. Band frontman Jim James expressed the band’s reverence for the space in a statement, calling it “a sacred place” to the band and emphasizing how honored they are to be part of its storied legacy. “We are so thrilled to be coming back again – for seven nights!” James said, adding that they can’t wait to laugh, dance, and sing together while celebrating “every color of the rainbow and all of the beauty, diversity, and magic in this wild, wonderful world!”

Here’s where it gets really cool: each night of the residency will be inspired by a different color of the rainbow. The band is encouraging fans to dress according to each night’s theme color, which honestly sounds like the most aesthetically pleasing concert series ever. And they’re keeping things fresh, no songs will be repeated during each block of shows, so whether you go to one night or all seven, you’re getting a unique experience.

The dates are October 3-4, 6-7, and 9-11, 2026. Heads up: these are the only headline dates My Morning Jacket has scheduled for 2026, so this is literally your one shot to catch them in a full live setting this year.

Tickets drop to the general public on April 3 at 10 a.m. through www.mymorningjacket.com/tour. If you want early access, My Morning Jacket’s One Big Family membership comes with presale opportunities. You can sign up for a presale code on their website for extra first-dibs energy.

This residency is a big deal. My Morning Jacket isn’t just playing shows, they’re committing to a complete immersive experience at one of the most important venues on the West Coast. Whether you’re a longtime fan or just curious about what the hype is about, this seems like the kind of event that’ll stick with you long after the final note rings out at the Fillmore.
