Kid Cudi Breaks Silence on Testifying Against Diddy in Explosive Trial

In a raw and candid podcast interview, rapper Kid Cudi opened up about his harrowing experience testifying in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ sex trafficking trial, revealing the intense emotional journey behind his courtroom appearance.
Cudi, whose real name is Scott Mescudi, shared that he initially turned down testifying twice but was ultimately subpoenaed to take the stand. His testimony centered around his brief relationship with singer Cassie Ventura in 2011 and the alleged abusive dynamics involving Combs.
During the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, Cudi was brutally honest about his courtroom experience, stating he “hated every minute of it”. Despite his personal discomfort, he felt compelled to support Ventura, whom he described as living “a nightmare”.
His testimony included shocking allegations, such as Combs allegedly breaking into his Hollywood Hills home after discovering his relationship with Ventura. Cudi also revealed that his car was set on fire with a Molotov cocktail in 2012, following the end of his romance with Ventura.
Cudi described his time dating Ventura as “crazy” and “chaotic,” explaining that he was dealing with significant personal challenges during that period. He testified that Ventura had shared details of Combs’ alleged physical abuse, including being hit and kicked.
The trial concluded with Combs being convicted on two counts of interstate prostitution, facing potential imprisonment of up to 20 years. His sentencing is scheduled for October.
