Maye Musk: Family First, Comfort Second

Family Dynamics.

In the whirlwind world of celebrity families, Maye Musk continues to prove that familial connections trump luxury and convenience. At 77 years old, the model and mother of tech titan Elon Musk recently shared her holiday plans and unique approach to family time during Heidi Klum’s Halloween party in New York City.

Maye is eagerly anticipating the upcoming holiday season, looking forward to spending time with her expansive family. With Elon being a father to 14 children across multiple relationships, including three kids with ex-partner Grimes and four with tech executive Shivon Zilis, family gatherings are anything but small.

What sets Maye apart is her refreshingly pragmatic approach to family visits. She’s not afraid to crash in unconventional spaces, including her son’s garage, just to be close to her loved ones. “I couch surf, whatever’s available,” she candidly shared. “I’d rather see my kids and grandkids than be in comfort”.

Her flexibility isn’t new. She recalled similar experiences from her own childhood, noting that when visiting her mother in Canada, she would often sleep in the garage due to space constraints. This adaptability seems to be a family trait.

Interestingly, Maye’s visit to Elon’s SpaceX location highlighted her no-nonsense attitude. When people romanticized her garage sleeping arrangements, she quickly demystified the scenario: “No, there were boxes. It’s a garage”. Her priority remains clear - proximity to family over luxurious accommodations.

This holiday season, Maye plans to spend time with her many grandchildren, embodying a spirit of familial connection that transcends material comfort. Her approach serves as a powerful reminder that love and presence matter more than perfect living arrangements.

While her son Elon continues to make headlines for his technological ventures and controversial statements, Maye remains a grounding presence, showcasing what truly matters: family, connection, and being there for those you love.
