After four years away from the stage, Celine Dion just announced that she’s returning to perform in Paris this fall, and we’re collectively trying not to ugly cry at our desks. The legendary singer revealed the news on Monday from beneath the Eiffel Tower on her 58th birthday, because of course she did it in the most iconic way possible.

Dion will perform 10 shows at Paris La Défense Arena between September 12 and October 14, 2026, in what’s being called “Celine Dion Paris 2026”. This marks her first major concert series since she disclosed her diagnosis with stiff-person syndrome back in 2022, a rare neurological disorder that has seriously impacted her ability to perform.

In an emotional video message, Dion opened up about her journey, saying “Over the last few years, every day that’s gone by, I’ve felt your prayers and support”. She went on to express how “strong” and “excited” she feels about returning to the stage and performing for fans once again. Honestly, the vulnerability in that message hit different.

The shows will feature her incredible catalog of hits in both English and French, spanning her entire career. Creative director Willo Perron is helping develop the production, so you know it’s going to be a visual and auditory experience that’ll have everyone reaching for tissues.

Dion’s comeback is pretty significant when you think about what she’s been dealing with. Stiff-person syndrome is no joke, she previously described performing with the condition as feeling like “somebody is strangling you”. She had to cancel her Courage World Tour as her health situation progressed, which was heartbreaking for both her and her fanbase. The fact that she’s ready to get back on stage is genuinely inspiring.

The singer did make a brief but absolutely stunning return at the 2024 Paris Olympics opening ceremony, where she performed on top of the Eiffel Tower. That performance reminded everyone why Celine Dion remains one of the bestselling and most decorated artists in pop music history, with nearly 260 million albums sold worldwide. We’re talking about the woman who gave us “My Heart Will Go On” and “Because You Loved Me”, absolute classics.

If you’re interested in catching these shows, artist presale registration runs through April 2, with general ticket access starting April 7. The La Défense Arena has a capacity of 40,000 spectators and was actually used as a venue during the Olympics, so it’s already proven it can handle major events.

Celine Dion’s comeback feels like more than just concerts, it’s a testament to resilience and passion for her craft. Whether you grew up listening to her or discovered her later, these Paris shows are definitely going to be worth keeping on your radar.
