San Francisco’s nightlife scene just got a sophisticated upgrade with The Hall, a new billiards lounge that’s redefining how locals spend their evenings. Nestled on Mission Street, this two-level venue transforms the former ECHO nightclub space into a moody, high-end hangout that seamlessly blends professional pool tables with craft cocktails.

Designed by entrepreneurs Modi Shantharam, Yuko Takahashi, and Joina Liao, The Hall aims to create a social destination that goes beyond traditional bar experiences. With eight professional Diamond Billiards pool tables and carefully curated mood lighting, the space invites both serious players and casual socializers to connect.

The drink menu is a global adventure in itself, featuring innovative cocktails like a tamarind-date Old Fashioned, a Thai basil margarita, and a passionfruit whiskey sour made with Kikori Japanese whisky. Local beer enthusiasts will appreciate the curated selection of craft brews from Original Pattern and Harmonic, priced between $7 and $9.

Food isn’t an afterthought here. The globally inspired street food menu includes Brazilian cheese bread bites, tandoori chicken kabobs, and a standout paozinho Brasilia – a Brazilian-style steak sandwich that promises to tantalize taste buds. Pool table rates are reasonable, running $15 per hour, with discounts for multiple table rentals.

Open seven nights a week (Sunday through Thursday from 5 pm to midnight, and Friday-Saturday until 1 am), The Hall represents more than just a bar – it’s a social experiment in bringing people together through shared experiences of great drinks, delicious food, and the timeless appeal of billiards.

Whether you’re a pool shark or just looking for a unique night out, this Mission District gem offers something for everyone seeking a sophisticated yet relaxed evening.
