San Francisco’s drag scene is about to get Swiftie-fied with an epic celebration of Taylor Swift’s latest album, “The Life of a Showgirl”. On October 18, Oasis nightclub will host a star-studded tribute that promises to be more fabulous than a stadium tour.

The event, part of the weekly Princess drag extravaganza, will feature performances by local drag royalty including Bobby Friday, Phoebe Cakes, Sinn E. Moan, and others - all hosted by the legendary Lisa Frankenstein. Attendees are encouraged to bring their most extravagant “extra lewks” and prepare for a night of disco-pop dancing and Swift-inspired drag.

For those who can’t wait to dive into the new album, Swift is also releasing an 89-minute “Official Release Party” film that will be screening at local theaters like AMC Metreon, AMC Kabuki, and Alamo Drafthouse. The film promises behind-the-scenes footage and the debut music video for “The Fate of Ophelia”.

The album drops at midnight Eastern Time (9 pm PST) on October 3, and fans are eagerly anticipating what Swift will deliver after her previous album, “Tortured Poets Department”. While rumors of a low-quality album leak have been circulating, true fans are holding out for the official release.

This event isn’t just a celebration of music - it’s a testament to San Francisco’s vibrant queer culture and its ability to transform any moment into a spectacle of creativity and joy. With Oasis potentially closing soon, this tribute feels like a bittersweet farewell to a beloved local institution.

Tickets are available on Eventbrite, so grab yours and get ready to dance, sing, and drag your way through Taylor Swift’s latest musical journey.
