Father-Son Chef Showdown: A Culinary Legacy Unfolds in Healdsburg

Get ready for a mouthwatering celebration of culinary talent and family tradition as the legendary Pigs & Pinot festival returns to Healdsburg in March 2026. This year’s event promises to be an extraordinary showcase of generational culinary expertise, featuring some of the most renowned father-son chef teams in the industry.

Charlie Palmer’s beloved festival, now in its 19th year, is moving to the brand new Appellation Healdsburg resort, bringing with it an incredible lineup of culinary royalty. Imagine watching Wolfgang Puck and his son Byron Lazaroff-Puck, Emeril Lagasse and EJ Lagasse, and Jean-Georges Vongerichten with Cedric Vongerichten all cooking together in one epic event.

The festival isn’t just about incredible food and wine – it’s a celebration of passing down culinary knowledge from one generation to the next. EJ Lagasse, for instance, has already made waves by earning two Michelin stars at his father’s New Orleans restaurant, proving that culinary talent can indeed run in the family.

Beyond the incredible cooking demonstrations, attendees will get to experience a grand tasting featuring 60 different Pinot Noir wines from California, Oregon, and potentially France. The event maintains its core mission of supporting education, with proceeds benefiting the Palmer Family Education Foundation, which focuses on culinary and arts education.

Tickets start at $308 and include access to the grand tasting event, with additional VIP packages available for those wanting a more immersive experience. The festival represents more than just a food event – it’s a testament to the passion, skill, and love that drives culinary excellence across generations.

Whether you’re a foodie, wine enthusiast, or simply appreciate incredible culinary artistry, Pigs & Pinot promises to be an unforgettable celebration of food, family, and tradition.
