After six years of silence following a heartbreaking tragedy, the beloved Gilroy Garlic Festival is making a powerful comeback. This year’s event promises to reignite the community’s spirit with a reimagined experience at Gilroy Gardens, offering a more intimate celebration of culinary tradition and local resilience.

Ticket sales for the festival begin May 31st, with a limited capacity of 3,000 guests per day. This carefully planned approach reflects the organizers’ commitment to creating a safe and meaningful event. Tickets will be available online at aftontickets.com/gilroygarlicfestival, priced at $35 per person for guests three and older, with an additional $25 parking fee.

Paul Nadeau, president of the Garlic Festival Association, emphasized the event’s nostalgic essence, noting that while smaller in scale, the festival will retain the core elements that made it a Bay Area favorite. Visitors can look forward to an array of garlicky culinary delights, live music performances, and engaging cooking demonstrations.

To prevent ticket scalping, purchases will be restricted to six tickets per person, verified through email identification. Volunteers and festival sponsors will receive special access, with volunteers able to explore the grounds after completing their shifts.

For local residents eager to attend, Nadeau suggests keeping an eye on social media for potential pre-sale opportunities. The festival will run from July 25-27, marking a significant moment of healing and celebration for the Gilroy community.

This year’s event isn’t just about garlic, it’s a testament to community resilience, bringing people together through shared experiences and culinary traditions that have long defined the region’s cultural landscape.
