The Excelsior District is about to transform into a vibrant K-pop paradise this Friday night, promising an electrifying evening that celebrates Asian pop culture and local community spirit.

From 5 pm to 10 pm, the Norton Street parking lot will become a bustling hub of entertainment, featuring everything from live dance performances to music curated by DJ Theo Tabora. This unique night market, organized by From the E Excelsior Night Market with support from the Civic Joy Fund, Excelsior Action Group, and the Mayor’s Office of Economic & Workforce Development, aims to bring neighbors together through the global phenomenon of K-pop.

The event couldn’t come at a better time, riding the wave of popularity sparked by recent Netflix series like K-Pop Demon Hunters. Attendees can expect a sensory feast with food vendors, a pop-up record shop, dynamic K-pop dancers, and even giant Labubus adding a whimsical touch to the evening.

For those looking to take home a piece of the excitement, a K-pop themed gift basket raffle will offer lucky participants a chance to win a curated collection of merchandise. The photo booth will also provide an opportunity for fans to capture memories of this unique community celebration.

Whether you’re a die-hard K-pop fan or simply curious about the cultural phenomenon, this night market promises something for everyone. It’s more than just an event, it’s a celebration of diversity, community connection, and the vibrant cultural landscape of San Francisco’s Excelsior neighborhood.
