NFL stars Travis and Jason Kelce are bringing their childhood rollercoaster dreams to life through their recent investment in Six Flags. The dynamic duo, known for their playful podcast banter, are designing what could be the most ambitious theme park attraction in recent history.
Imagining a coaster that defies current engineering limits, the Kelce brothers want to combine five unprecedented elements: a giga coaster with massive 300-foot drops, multiple inversions, an inverted track design, an indoor experience, and a wooden coaster framework. Their ambitious vision stems from their love of theme parks growing up in Ohio, where legendary rides like Cedar Point’s Millennium Force and Kings Island’s Beast first sparked their imagination.
“I could not pass this opportunity up,” Travis Kelce shared on their New Heights podcast. “We’re going to be part of creating theme parks that rocked our world as kids and hopefully give families the same incredible memories”.
The proposed “Kelce Coaster” would be a technological marvel, potentially pushing the boundaries of roller coaster design. With elements never before combined, the ride could become a landmark attraction for theme park enthusiasts worldwide. Potential locations might include Six Flags Magic Mountain, Cedar Point, or Knott’s Berry Farm.
Jason Kelce added his own twist to the concept, emphasizing the raw, visceral experience of a wooden coaster. “There’s a dirtiness to the wood. There’s a shakiness to it,” he explained. “I want the adrenaline pumping. The more scared I am, the more the adrenaline’s pumping”.
While the coaster remains a conceptual dream, the Kelce brothers’ passion for theme park innovation showcases their creativity extends far beyond the football field. Their investment in Six Flags represents more than a financial opportunity – it’s a chance to reimagine family entertainment through their childhood lens.
Fans and theme park enthusiasts alike are eagerly waiting to see if this audacious roller coaster concept becomes a reality.
