Rivian’s micromobility spinoff Also is revolutionizing urban transportation with its groundbreaking TM-B electric bike, a vehicle that looks and functions like nothing else on the market. This innovative e-bike isn’t just another two-wheeler – it’s a glimpse into the future of sustainable urban mobility.
The TM-B features a unique “DreamRide” drivetrain where riders generate power by pedaling, which replenishes the bike’s battery while a separate electric motor drives the rear wheel. With wheel options of 24 x 2.6 inches and integrated front and rear lighting, this bike is designed for maximum efficiency and style.
Battery options include 538Wh and 808Wh packs, offering up to 100 miles of range. These removable batteries aren’t just for powering the bike – they also feature two USB-C ports, allowing riders to charge devices on the go. An E Ink display conveniently shows the current battery charge.
As a Class 3 e-bike, the TM-B can reach pedal-assisted speeds of 28 mph and includes a throttle capable of 20 mph where regulations permit. Its impressive 180Nm of torque ensures smooth acceleration, even when carrying heavy loads. Hydraulic disc brakes and regenerative braking add an extra layer of control and potential range extension.
One of the most exciting features is the bike’s modular design. Without tools, riders can transform the TM-B into a cargo hauler, kid carrier, or cruiser with a bench seat. The 5-inch circular touchscreen console allows for easy seat post adjustment, and the bike’s suspension accommodates riders from 4’11" to 6’8".
Security is also a priority, with automatic locking mechanisms for the battery, rear wheel, and frame. Tamper alerts and real-time bike location tracking provide peace of mind for urban riders.
Pricing starts at $4,000 for the base edition, with a launch edition available for $4,500. Deliveries are expected in spring 2026. Also’s president, Chris Yu, describes this as “just the beginning of a broader platform” aimed at catalyzing global micromobility adoption.
With its innovative design and forward-thinking approach, the TM-B represents more than just a new e-bike – it’s a statement about the future of urban transportation.
